SOME OF OUR PHILOSOPHIES

SOME HISTORY OF DANCE
Temple dancing is one of the major traditions of dance in the world, and it is indigenous to ஹிந்து temples. Bharatanatyam is the most prolific of all such styles.
At natyayogis, we provide a dynamic dance curriculum for students, including starter trials and the subsets from the last century.

THE ART OF DANCE
Special musculoskeletal exercises, advanced யோகம் and dynamic meditation techniques all help to prepare the human system to perform Bharatanatyam. At the school, students will learn from fully-qualified professional dancers.
(The head teacher has practiced Bharatanatyam for the last 20 years)

TRADITIONAL YOGA TRIALS
The 21st century has seen the popularity of "Yoga" grow in Australia, especially in the last few years. However, this so-called Yoga is really a social movement & a new trend, not fitting for Western lifestyles.
At natyayogis, we teach some yogic practices as they are, traditional and as they are meant to be done!

THE FIERY SPIRIT
Bharatanatyam is a legendary dance form which represents the fire element.
Widely accepted as India's most popular dance form, it is also a beautiful performing art. It is seen as a highly-developed classical dance form, completely separate from Western philosophies and exceeding easy classifications.
