The clarification of a true yogi
Updated: Dec 12, 2019
As usual, Australia has disappointed yoga practitioners by attempting to submit to commercial representations of "yoga" which misrepresent the true practices as done in ancient India. Let me point out that any commercial representation of "yoga" is not qualified to add to the doctrines and true meaning of the original and only "yoga" as per authentic (and only) roots which still exist to this day.
The reality is, people of Australia are being heavily misguided by pop culture trends and commercial nonsense. As soon as a person attempts to do "yoga" as seen in some of the authentic yoga publications (such as the Yoga Sutras of Pathanjali), they are automatically submitting to an ancient cultural & multi-dimensional practice, regardless of how much of this practice is done! This practice can not be easily defined by Western philosophies...
To move forward & rectify this situation, requires clarification and amendment of the Western perceptions of "Yoga". Otherwise, consumers will continue to get into tangles by trying a misguided idea of an ancient Indian yoga practice, which really can only be practiced by respectful, true yoga practitioners.
