How do you best drink tap water?

Recently a friend asked me how to best drink tap water, and she's a dancer.

I know that it sounds like a trivial question, but imagine that the glass you drink is giving off a chlorine smell. This could be because of a higher chlorination used by the water provider for eliminating harmful bacteria.

A healthy way to approach this? Boil the glassful of tap water for about 20 minutes. Not only would this boil away a lot of the chlorine, but it kills any residues of harmful germs too!

As a dancer, you need ample water during training. Hot water is traditionally considered "healthy", though it'd be annoying to sip through a lava-like steamed froth slowly when you're actually thirsty. Most dancers I know prefer chilled water.
