Brisbane: The Sleepy Town

When I travelled between Sydney, Brisbane and other towns worldwide, I noticed an interesting trend: Brisbane invokes an average human to sleep significantly more than the other major Australian capitals!

The dry and tropical air with higher-density current flows, is a distinct characteristic of Brizzy. Add that to the extensive mining operations and roadworks, with countrysides and dry hills, and you get a somewhat "thicker" atmosphere. If you walk down the street any of the 365 days, the barren environment devoid of humans alerts you to the stark isolation in contrast to a town like Sydney.

Overall, the high temperatures during summer adds the icing to the cake. All I see is groups of Brisbanites standing by the side of the road smoking, and people at work trying not to fall asleep amidst a relatively quiet town in the middle of nowhere.

Yup, that's why I call Brisbane as Australia's sleep centre!!
