Some historical introductions of East to the West!

1924: Mr. Jinarajadasa delivered a lecture in Sydney, educating Australians on Eastern philosophies and some major non-Western concepts (like Hindu spirituality).

n.d.: A Bengali ethnic Indian, professor Tarkalankara, delivers lectures in Calcutta at a Sanatana Dharma college on some basic religious philosophies. This was part of the official Hinduism and Buddhism introductions which happened around the world in the 1900s.
